Steve Arlan
Head Coach
Coach Steve Arlan is the founder of Elmwood Intensity 16U. He brings over 30 years of valuable experience to the game of softball and has won countless titles ranging from Little League Championships to being the Head Coach of the 2014 Senior League New England Regional Championship team.
Recently, he was the Head Coach of the Paul Cuffee High School softball team for the past 3 seasons and was recently appointed the Assistant Coach of the Central High School softball team.
Brandan Gunarathne
Assistant Coach
Coach Brandan Gunarathne has been with the team since the Summer of 2019. He brings countless years of experience to the game of softball, both playing baseball for 8 years and watching his sister play at the collegiate level. He mostly works with the outfielders on mechanics and various techniques.
Yesenia Rincon (Jika)
Parent Coordinator
The Elmwood Intensity 16U team wouldn’t be where it is today if it weren’t for Yesenia Rincon, our parent coordinator. She takes care of all things related to logistics on the team including fundraising, chaperone overnight tournaments, and helping out in games when needed.
Kelsi Gunarathne
Pitching Instructor
Kelsi Gunarathne is one of the most successful pitchers to have ever come out of Elmwood. She played underneath coach Steve from 2011-2014 and played travel ball with the RI Rebels Gold. Furthermore, she committed to play softball collegiately at Framingham State University from 2016-2019. At FSU, she broke several records including: Wins (Career+Single Season), Career Win Percentage, Career Innings Pitched, and Strikeouts (Career+Single Season). Having her help with our pitchers is an extreme gift and we are so glad to have her influencing the team.
